Where to find each number
- Plan price: the monthly price for all your lines before discounts. On a provider's broadband label it is the monthly price; on your bill it is the plan charge.
- Autopay discount: only if you will really use autopay (some need a debit card or bank account).
- Taxes and fees: government taxes plus the provider's own monthly fees. They vary by state and city; your current bill is the best guide.
- Intro price: a lower price for the first months. The broadband label must say how long it lasts and what it becomes. Enter it before the autopay discount: the calculator takes the discount off every month, intro months included.
- Phone price and months: the full price of new phones and how many monthly installments; 0 months means you pay it all upfront.
- Bill credits: a "free phone" deal usually gives a monthly credit that matches the installment, for as long as you stay. Enter the total and the months.
